technique for learning lucid dreaming

1.) pour a glass of water and set it on your bedside table.
2.) stare at the glass and concentrate on it for one minute. think about the molecules of the water, how the glass feels, etc...
3.) look up at the ceiling and concentrate on a point there for one minute.
4.) one more minute concentrating on the glass again.
5.) now take a drink, concentrating on how the water feels as it goes down your throat. when you are done, set the glass down and say out loud "i will remember my dreams tonight"
6.) when you wake up in the morning, take a drink of the water, and memory of your dreams will flood back to you. as you do this exercise for a while, you will find that you will start to have moments of clarity during the dreams, and soon, you will be able to be conscious inside your dreams, controlling the environment and doing and feeling anything that you want.

it's exhilarating... i encourage you guys to try this out. it took me about two weeks of doing the thing every night before it started happening.

    That's a very interesting technique, Jonny. Thanks for sharing.

    If you take that glass of water and explore it in the same mental fashion for 10 consecutive minutes a day, it will be much easier to remain conscious during the astral split, which occurs every single time the physical body is put to sleep.

    I prefer to use my heart as a focal point during my daily concentration/visualization exercise and repeat it whenever I take a nap or go to bed at night. Works a charm. :)

    Train yourself to be absolutely still upon waking and you will remember many more dreams. Simply close your eyes upon waking and that should do it. If this doesn't work, try the following mantra...

    RaaaaaahhhhOooooooooooooooooommmmmmmm
    GaaaaaahhhhOooooooooooooooooommmmmmmm
